Resolution #3

... is well underway! "Taking the binky" away. I was planning on waiting until he was three, because that's what I thought I would be comfortable with, but lo and behold one morning Geddy showed me how his binky was getting old and "ripped," so I suggested that he throw it away. He only said "no" for a minute, then promptly threw it away. I couldn't miss this opportunity. I decided to dig in my heels and make this happen. The first nap was rough, but the first night he didn't even ask for it. He has asked for it since, but Brennan bought him a "Toby" train and now when he asks for it we tell him he threw it away in the garbage/gave it to the garbage truck man and he got a new toy. He has a very KEEN memory and will explain to me several times a day that this happened. It's been easier than I thought. I just know we can't use the same Soothie binky for Jennsen, and I am slightly worried what he's going to think when he sees her sucking a binky in a few (up to 7 weeks) weeks.

Yay! I consider myself SO lucky that Isabelle decided she no longer wanted a binky at 6 months.
