Brennan is Basil

You Are Basil

You are quite popular and loved by post people.

You have a mild temperament, but your style is definitely distinctive.

You are sweet, attractive, and you often smell good.

He really wanted to be saffron, because he says "it's rare and exotic."

Tonee is Black Pepper

You Are Black Pepper

You may be considered ordinary by some, but you're far from boring.

You elevate the mood of any discussion, and people miss you when you're not around.

You are secretly very dominant and powerful. Most can only take you in small doses.

I think this fits me well!!! I like the "small doses" part...ahhh, is that true guys? My husband might say yes!!!! HE HE HE

Top Foods on the Planet

One of the best things that you will ever eat is Nielsens Frozen Custard. It's so soft and creamy. My favorite selection is the "Cookie Dough Concrete."
Another food I die for is "Pudina Chicken" also know as "Mint Chicken." (Indian). It's chicken in a very minty sauce. I discovered this while eating at Royal India on Main St. in Bountiful. Our good friends, the Rivers, introduced us to Indian food and we simply adore it (thanks guys!!!). I couldn't find a picture to do it justice! Along those same lines is the Garlic Naan, Indian food as well. It's kind of like a flat pita bread thing, with garlic and cilantro on top.
Cilantro is one of my favorites as well!!!! While I was looking on the web for a picture of it, I stumbled upon a couple of interesting sites: the "anti-cilantro community," and another website that says
"The world is divided into two very different types of people: those who love cilantro and those who hate it." Wow....I didn't know it was soooo controversial...he he he. Nonetheless, it's one of those garnishes that gives me chills when I smell it, I love it sooo much!

Marcia, Brennan's Mom, called me on Wednesday and invited me to go to Annie. I was so excited!!! Ashley, Brennan's sister, bless her heart, had bought the tickets for Marcia for Christmas, and planned on going with her. Then at the last minute she got really sick and couldn't go. So they called the most available woman on the planet at the spur of the moment (ha ha ha), and I got to go!!! It was at Kingsbury Hall. Annie was a ten year old actor, who was soooo amazing....ah...so much talent at such a young age. Before the play, Marcia and I ate at a Greek Restaurant on 13th East, it was yummy. I so rarely go to the theater (probably because I am too cheap), but I really enjoyed an evening out with Marcia! And I can't get those songs out of my head....
"It's the hard knock life...."
"E-a-s-y Street..."
"Tomorrow there'll be sun...Just thinking about tomorrow clears away the cob-webs and the sorrow, 'till there's none."
"I don't need anything but you..."

Doggie Spotlight

This is Roxi-our little baby. Well, she is 4 1/2 years old, but we still call her "puppy." She's an Australian Shepherd mix. I like her hair long and silky, but it does shed everywhere, so we get her shaved barren every now and then.
She's the best little dog you have ever seen! One of her best attributes is obedience. She listens so well to Mama and Papa (mostly Mama :). (Okay folks, just be warned, Brenann and I already call eachother Mama and Papa). She loves her Papa so much. Her favorite things to do are play ball and lay on the couch with Papa for hours playing video games. She also loves to look out the window for "puppies" and loves to bark her little wimpy bark at anything that moves once she looks out the window. Her favorite thing to do with Mama is to go on walks outside- but Papa hates when Mama takes her too far (like 6 miles) because then her pads get worn off (this actually happened once, and they were bloody everywhere...I guess that's what I get for dragging her 6 miles with me rollerblading on the asphalt-oops!). She's a special dog you see, we have to feed her a diet of Kangaro and Oatmeal (no joke people!); she is allergic to almost everything on the planet, including chicken and beef. I think the funniest thing about Roxi is when we try to give her new people food (because we NEVER do), such as lettuce, she carefully takes little bites, and it takes her about 5 minutes to chew and swallow....it's so hilarious!!! She is also very funny when she plays, sometimes she will get so excited and jump so high to catch a ball, that she somehow flips around in the air and lands on her back. HA HA HA. (She doesn't get hurt, don't worry :) She's so much fun. If I had to have a dog (yes, it was Brennan's idea 4 years ago), I am so glad we choose her!!!

GOING Gray....already

Okay, so Brennan started getting gray hairs, on his mission (20 years old), but recently I have started to notice that I am getting gray hairs! This is the weirdest thing. I thought you had to be like 40 to get gray hair. Boy, am I in for a treat, learning all these things about getting old...ha ha ha. I remember my mom sitting in front of the mirror when I was younger, pulling out those stragly gray hairs...and what do you know? Now, I am doing the same thing.
