Honey Sunshine

Do you ever stumble upon something that reminds you of your childhood and youth?

There was a cereal (now I can't remember the name of it) that I LOVED when I was younger. It was these little brown sqaure "pillow" things that soaked in just the perfect amount of milk to create just the right sogginess! I saw a new Kashi cereal at Costco a few months ago called "Honey Sunshine." Honey Sunshine looked like the kind from my childhood so I decided to give it a try. I think it was about $7 for the large box and that's not the SORT of money I like to spend on cereal, but I couldn't resist. I tried them immediately upon arriving home and they were almost identical to the ones I had remembered from my childhood (same sogginess and texture), just a little different (honey) flavor. I KNEW I should have bought ten boxes because Costco turns over their inventory so fast they didn't have them when I checked yesterday. I was telling Brennan about Honey Sunshine, how much I was craving it and love it! I even tried a cereal brand, called Puffins, that looked like Honey Sunshine and the cereal from my childhood, but much to my dissapointment it wasn't quite like it! Neither Albertsons nor Smiths carry Honey Sunshine. I remember that WalMart carried it, and to my great surprise my sweet husband brought home 5 boxes of this yummy goodness today! What a SWEETHEART! That's my man, my "honey sunshine" - always wanting to do a fun, sweet surprise for me. I have the best hubby ever - SERIOUSLY!

St. George

Last week I decided to get brave and venture out and actually take Geddy somewhere other than our comfty little surroundings of home and Davis County. Brennan had a business trip in St. Geroge, so I figured I would use it as a excuse to go somewhere! We called up my Gma and took her with us and stayed in her lovely house in St. George. That was great! But the not so great part was Geddy got sick Wednesday night (he was such a good boy on the drive down), but Wednesday night and Thursday night I was basically up with him every 30 min during the night. It was worse than newborn days! Needless to say I was so drained in the daytime we did nothing. Also, it's hard to get motivated to do anything outside when it's soo hot! The only real thing we did was take a 3 mile walk on Friday morning. We came home a day early so Geddy could sleep in his own bed and HOPEFULLY sleep a little better! I am grateful to spend time with Gma, but grateful now that we are home and can sleep in our own beds. I think Geddy despises his pack and play. I am not sure if we will be able to take him on trips seeing as he's very much in love with his OWN crib!

I think G's favorite part was playing with the "bag of toys" that I brought to entertain him on the car ride up and down. It was filled with random kitchen gadgets, snack size chip bags, etc.

Geddy on our morning walk, and the only "real" thing we did while we were there!

(My sick little guy still finds it in him to manage a smile)

(Sorry we didn't take any pictures of you Daddy! We have videos though!)

It's Good to be Geddy

Hello everyone, I just want to say that I am having a lot of fun over here. All day long I get to eat, and drink my milk, and take 3 naps, and have warm baths at night while splashing water everywhere and playing with my bath toys, and sit out under the small patch of shade under either Lewis or Clark (our trees). I also get to play with my dog Roxi and she likes to lick my face and I open my mouth wide every time she licks me. I like to take long walks with mommy, and I like to watch Sid the Science kid every morning at 7:30 am. Sometimes mommy makes me sleep a little longer in my crib so I miss Sid the Science Kid. I think I am a pretty good boy, although, I know I can be a little whiny at times. It seems like my mom has the vacuum or blender going all day long some days, so I sometimes whine when I hear those loud noises and my mom's not in view. I like to look out the window and see the big trucks building a park in my back yard! Most of all I like to see my Mommy and Daddy. They make me laugh so much. It's good to be a baby boy.
